RV Rubber Roof Membrane Kit for Motor Homes and Camper Trailers

The 20 Foot Long by 8.5 Foot Wide classAcustoms Single-Ply PVC RV Roofing Membrane Kit features a PVC membrane that is 28 mils thick, with a smooth finish on both sides and a white color. It is recommended to obtain a length that is longer or wider than the unit's dimensions, as this allows for the accommodation of any roof curvature, raised or lowered areas, and excess can be easily removed, which is preferable to not having enough coverage.

The kit includes 4 tubes of Heng's Self-Leveling Silicone Caulk, which is a white, 10.1 fl oz caulk designed and formulated to provide excellent weather resistance and good adhesion to a variety of substrates. Additionally, the kit includes 2 rolls of Butyl Tape, which is a non-hardening, pliable putty tape that is off-white in color and measures 1/8" thick, 3/4" wide, and 30' long.

Furthermore, the kit contains 1 gallon of classAcustoms Acrylic Water Based Adhesive, which is white in color and has a coverage of 160-200 sq ft/gal (1 side @ 8-10 mil). This adhesive can be applied by spray, roll coating, or brush.

The membrane is shipped folded, and depending on the size of the kit, it may come in one or two boxes, along with the adhesive. It is essential to remove the membrane from the box as soon as possible and place it on the clean roof of the unit. Caution should be taken to prevent the membrane from touching the ground or any dirty surfaces, as well as sharp objects or surfaces. The membrane can be installed with either side facing the glue, but it is recommended to have the smoothest side down for better traction on wet or damp roofs.

The classAcustoms Adhesive is a fast-drying, water-based acrylic adhesive, and this single-ply membrane can be glued down on either side. It is worth noting that the two boxes (glue and membrane) may not arrive simultaneously, and it is not uncommon for one to arrive a day before the other.
